Maria C. (Uvalle) Yester and Justin Cole Yester of Copperas Cove welcomed a son, Cole Thomas Yester, 7 pounds, 8 ounces, 21½ inches, on April 21 at Metroplex Hospital in Killeen.

Cole’s paternal grandparents are Tom and Julie Yester of Copperas Cove and his maternal grandparents are Antonio and Manuela Uvalle of Anderson.

BELTON — The fire department is partnering with Wal-Mart, H-E-B, TruMH, the Rotary Club and Belton Professional Firefighters Association to distribute fans to those in need during extreme heat conditions, according to a news release from the city.
