Sabrina and Bradley Sickles of Killeen welcomed a son, Winter Tomas Sickles, 6 pounds, 15 ounces, on Dec. 26 at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center at Fort Hood.

Winter’s siblings are Brayden, 4, and William, 3.

Texas Humane Heroes is celebrating 35 years of saving animals’ lives this holiday season. Starting Friday, the public is invited to sponsor a homeless pet’s kennel through Dec. 31 for $35 and up.
