Cesar and Nallely Valdez of Killeen welcomed a son, Rhaegar Alexander Valdez, 7 pounds, 18¾ inches, on May 31 at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center at Fort Hood.

Rhaegar’s sisters are Taya, 15, and Michelle, 7, and his brother is Cesar III, 5.

His maternal grandparents are Guillermo and Guadalupe Olivas of Killeen. His paternal grandparents are Cesar and Mary Valdez of Amarillo.

City says downtown lane closures begin Monday

The area bounded by 10th Street east to 24th Street and Rancier Avenue south to Avenue E will experience intermittent lane closures beginning Monday and continuing through January, the city of Killeen announced in a Friday news release.
