Jessica Swartz (Guleserian) and Stanley Swartz III of Killeen welcomed a daughter, Katelyn Rae Swartz, 8 pounds, 11 ounces, on March 10 at Seton Medical Center in Harker Heights.

Jessica’s brothers are Stanley and Matthew.

Her grandparents are Lori Jones of Killeen, Diana Swartz of Killeen and Stanley Swartz II of Killeen.

Petco awards grant to Killeen Animal Services

Killeen Animal Services announced Wednesday it has been awarded a $50,000 grant from the Petco Foundation to support funding that will be used to aid the Killeen shelter’s ongoing spay and neuter program and the care of animals that can be entered into the adoption program.
