Lindsey Renee Disher and Eric Michael Mandia were united in marriage on May 4, 2013, at Cathedral Oaks in Belton. The bride was given in marriage by Ralph and Pam Disher in an outdoor ceremony officiated by brother Jack Husung.

A scripture reading was done by Linda Rawls, aunt of the bride. Music was provided by the orchestra, Celebration Strings.

The bride is the daughter of Ralph and Pam Disher of Harker Heights. She is a 2006 graduate of Harker Heights High School. She received a Bachelor of Arts in journalism from Baylor University in 2010. She is an associate producer at Fox Sports.

The groom is the son of Michael and Teresa Mandia of Tampa, Fla. He is a 2001 graduate of Jefferson High School in Tampa. He received a Bachelor of Science in sports management from Northern Ohio University in 2005. He is an associate director at Fox Sports.

The maid of honor was Jenna Williamson of Dallas. The bridesmaids were Julie Rochelle of Austin; Whitney Delano of Houston; Katie Miller of Houston; and sister of the groom, Michelle Mandia of Tampa Fla.

The best man was Adam Wilko of Cleveland, Ohio. The groomsmen were Peter Iudiciani of Pittsburg, Pa.; Matt Saldana of Los Angeles, Calif.; Hugh Mills of Tampa, Fla.; and brother of the bride, Jared Disher of Killeen.

The ushers were uncle of the groom, Junior Hooten of Killeen; uncle of the groom, Kevin McHugh of Totowa, N.J.; cousin of the bride, John Manibusan of Durham, N.C.; and cousin of the bride, Trey Manibusan of Durham, N.C.

Gift hostesses were cousin of the bride, Grace Strozewski of Frisco; cousin of the bride, Megan Manibusan of Durham, N.C.; and cousin of the bride, Georgia Strozewski.

A reception with dinner and dancing followed at Cathedral Oaks.

Music was provided by disc jockey Abner Nieto

The couple plans a wedding trip to Bora Bora and resides in Pacific Palisades, Calif.

District 1 councilwoman to host meeting at her home

Killeen Councilwoman Shirley Fleming is taking the next step in her attempt to clean up the crime in District 1 by having another neighborhood watch meeting at 6 p.m. Jan. 30 . This time though, she’ll open the doors of her own home.

Wreath retrieval at vets cemetery set for Saturday

The Friends of the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery still needs volunteers Saturday morning to help retrieve the thousands of wreaths placed at the cemetery.
