Katie Meyer and Marcos Gomez of Belton were united in marriage on Jan. 26, 2013, in Austin. The bride was given in marriage by her father, Kurt Meyer, in a ceremony officiated by Dale Chrisman.

The bride is the daughter of Kurt and Janice Meyer of Belton. She is a graduate of Troy High School and Central Texas College. She is pursuing a degree in criminal justice at Texas A&M University.

The groom is the son of Hector and Annette Gomez of Belton. He is a graduate of Harker Heights High School and Central Texas College.

The maid of honor was Jenny Meyer of Belton. The bridesmaids were Ashley Meyer of Waco, Kelsey Mathias of Austin and Marcie Gomez of Belton.

The best man was Hector Gomez Jr. of San Antonio. The groomsmen were Trinidad Escamilla of Belton, Josh Shugars of Harker Heights and Timothy Priebe of Killeen.

The flower girl was Lily Escamilla of Belton and the ring bearer was Preston Phelps of Killeen.

A reception followed at Villa Antonia in Austin. The couple spent their honeymoon in Hawaii and resides in Belton.
