  • Melinda Moreland And Dylan Shane Stubblefield

Melinda Moreland and Dylan Shane Stubblefield were united in marriage on May 3, 2014, at the home of the groom’s parents. The bride was given in marriage by her father, Bennie Moreland, in a ceremony officiated by Dr. Bill Glover of The Hills.

The bride is the daughter of Bennie and Bettye Moreland of Elgin. She is an orthodontic treatment coordinator at Smiles of Austin.

The groom is the son of Tim and Cathey Clark and the late Bruce Stubblefield of the Backporch in Lampasas. His grandparents are Pat and Bobby Towle of Lampasas and Phyllis Clark of Kempner. He is employed with Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union 286.

The maid of honor was Christy Moreland of Elgin, triplet sister of the bride. The bridesmaids were Jennifer Moreland of Elgin, sister-in-law of the bride; Jessica Stubblefield of Cedar Creek, sister-in-law of the groom; Brooke Ledford of Hutto, cousin of the bride; Audra Lockwood of Manor, friend of the bride; Brandy Underwood of Dripping Springs, friend of the bride; and Lacey Jennings of Lakeway, cousin of the bride.

The flower girls were Avia Stubblefield of Cedar Creek, niece of the groom; and Allie Moreland of Elgin, niece of the bride.

The ring bearers were Ethan Stubblefield of Cedar Creek, nephew of the groom; and Garrett and Easton Moreland of Elgin, nephews of the bride.

The best man was Dustin Stubblefield of Cedar Creek, brother of the groom. The groomsmen were Bill Barrows of Austin, friend of the groom; Michael Anderson of Austin, friend of the groom; Michael Wilson of Austin, friend of the groom; Tommy Whited of Cedar Creek, friend of the groom; and Kevin Morales of Round Rock, friend of the groom.

The ushers were Eric Moreland of Elgin, brother of the bride; and Heath Moreland of Elgin, triplet brother of the bride.

Music for the ceremony was provided by singer Josh Bradfute of Copperas Cove, cousin of the groom.

The wedding, reception, dinner and dancing was held in the home of the groom’s parents in Backporch in Lampasas.

The couple spent a week in Cancun, Mexico. They reside in Pflugerville.

Petco awards grant to Killeen Animal Services

Killeen Animal Services announced Wednesday it has been awarded a $50,000 grant from the Petco Foundation to support funding that will be used to aid the Killeen shelter’s ongoing spay and neuter program and the care of animals that can be entered into the adoption program.
