- An 18-year-old was charged with criminally negligent homicide in connection with a deadly rollover crash that left one man dead, and a young girl severely injured March 8.
- According to Temple Daily Telegram reporter Deborah McKeon, the City of Temple continues to refuse to release information about the past arrests of David Gene Risner. Risner accused of killing Little River Academy police chief Lee Dixon on June 19.
- The Killeen Police Department is one of three local agencies who will benefit from a federal DOJ grant. The department wil use it's share of the funds- about $45,000- to purchase a bunch of new equipment. The items include range target system, video and camera equipment, security equipment for the department’s North Precinct, as well as other computer equipment and “electronic equipment for covert operations.”
