A 70-something year old man I interviewed momentarily got off topic and told me about a little girl who came up to him and it went a little something like this....

"Look at the pretty rock I found," said the 5-year-old girl, who held up an ordinary piece of gravel.

"Oh, that's really nice sweetie," he said as he continued to walk.

She walked up to him again. This time, with a handful of gravel and said, "Look at the pretty rocks I found."
The old man said, "Sweetie, that is just absolutely great. I'm glad that you found those pretty rocks."
She came to him a third time and said, "This is the prettiest rock that I found and it's for you."
The man went in his truck and got a wooden plaque he made and gave it to her.
Her mom saw it and said, "Oh, I've got to pay you for this."
He reached in his pocket and as he showed her an ordinary pebble, he said "No ma'am. It's paid in full."
After I interviewed him, he walked to his truck and gave me and the photographer a plaque too :)
