Yesterday, All Dollar General stores experienced a glitch in their system. There was a coupon for 50% off House ware items. It came in different forms; email, website and text message.  All Dollar General store coupons can only be redeemed once.

In this scenario, customers were using the text code they received on their phone and due to the glitch they were using same exact offer from a digital coupon (using your phone number). So during the glitch, they were getting 50% off house wares from the text code and then using the same code from a different form (digitally) and getting another 50% off!

Would you do this glitch knowing that the offer can only be used once?

Do you feel there would be any issues for customers and the stores in the future?

I did see some of the purchases people were making for pennies and really I felt bad. I like couponing and saving money as much as the next person, BUT theft is theft and I personally couldn't take advantage that way. I did, however, take advantage of some 50% off clothes hangers, clothes pins, and laundry baskets.
