Leadership Killeen meeting Wednesday
Members of Leadership Killeen will hear from local city and county government representatives at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.
The meeting will be at Killeen City Hall, 101 N. College St. The group will move to Killeen Police Department headquarters, 3304 Community Blvd., during the day.

The Central Texas Business Resource Center is planning a Launching Your Entrepreneurial Future workshop.
The session will address business startup concerns.

Metroplex plans open house for wound care expansion
The Center for Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine at Metroplex Hospital will have an open house from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the newly expanded center, 2300 S. Clear Creek Road, Suite 101, Killeen.
In conjunction with American Diabetes Month, staff will provide tours of the facility, educational information about diabetes and wound care, as well as free foot checks for the public.
The center’s expansion includes five additional treatment rooms, a dual clinic with two physicians and an increase in hyperbaric oxygen therapy chambers.
It cares for people with acute and chronic wounds — those taking longer than 28 days to heal. Call 254-634-4325.

Holy Family Catholic Church will host the Copperas Cove Chamber of Commerce’s monthly mixer.

Fort Hood Officer’s Spouses’ Club Holiday Bazaar is set for the Killeen Civic and Conference Center from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Killeen offers seminar for first-time home buyers
Killeen’s Community Development Division — HOME Program, along with Francine Stanton with Stanton Realty Group and Cheryl Rodriguez with Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation will conduct a First Time Home Buyer seminar.
The seminar is from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Killeen Arts & Activities Center in the Community Development Training Room, 802 N. Second St., building E. Attendees will learn the pros and cons of homeownership, budgeting, goal setting, credit ratings, pre-approval and other activities about buying and owning a home.

Registration begins Wednesday for military affairs luncheon
The Harker Heights Chamber of Commerce will host a military affairs committee luncheon Dec. 5.

Resource center offers estate planning and asset protection seminar
The Central Texas Business Resource Center will host a free estate planning and asset protection seminar featuring Meredith A. Armstrong on Thursday.
The seminar is for business owners who have personal assets and business assets they would like to protect and for business owners who want to learn more about planning for the transition of their business to the next generation.
