Cove chamber welcomes apartments to city

Brookview Village Apartments and the Copperas Cove Chamber of Commerce will cut a ribbon for one of the city’s newest apartment complexes at noon Tuesday.

The apartment complex is for active seniors, age 55 or older, and features a swimming pool, fitness center and array of planned activities.

The complex is at 1000 Brookview Drive, Copperas Cove.

Mobile home builder site in Belton reaches 1,000 units

CMH Family of Brands’ TRUmh Home Building Facility, based in Maryville, Tenn., announced the completion of its 1,000th home at its Belton site.

Belton city officials and members of the business community are invited to join the team Thursday to celebrate the achievement at a catered barbecue lunch at 520 Sparta Road.

The facility, which opened in January 2013, retains a current production level of 10 floors daily and employs 180 team members.

The facility is licensed to service 11 states in the surrounding region, stretching to Mississippi, New Mexico and Wyoming. The Belton facility is the second to build the TRUmh brand, with the sister TRUmh facility located in White Pine, Tenn.

Natural product skin care store plans ribbon-cutting

Tetyana Naturals, a natural skin product store, will hold a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony March 1 at 4700 W. Trimmier Road, Killeen.

Free gifts will be given away during the event. The owner, Tetyana Hanna, will be on-site to talk about her made-from-scratch, all natural and organic skin care and bath products.

Center plans workshop on growing businesses

The Central Texas Business Resource Center will host a workshop to teach entrepreneurs about growing, surviving and thriving their operations from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Killeen Workforce Center, 300 Cheyenne.

Rack’em invites public to watch Army marathon

The Harker Heights Chamber of Commerce and Rack’em Billiards in Harker Heights invites residents to cheer on Army Marathon runners from 6:45 to 9 a.m. March 2.
