Business Resource Center schedules seminar
The Central Texas Business Resource Center will conduct a free seminar from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Jan. 7 at 300 Cheyenne in Killeen.
Business consultant Bryan Thym will present the seminar, which will answer 15 critical questions people should ask themselves before starting home-based-businesses. Call Aimee Nesee at 254-200-2001.
Killeen chamber plans networking power hour
The Greater Killeen Chamber of Commerce has scheduled a networking power hour from 7:30 to 8:45 a.m. Friday at the chamber office, One Santa Fe Plaza, Killeen.
The power hour is a way to meet and connect with other business professionals.
It is similar to speed dating and designed to introduce 50 businesses to each other in 60 minutes.
All participants will have the chance to introduce themselves, talk about their businesses and hand out marketing materials to other local professionals.
The event is free for chamber members, $20 for nonmembers, and breakfast is provided.
Attendees must register at least one day in advance, with businesses limited to two representatives. They also should bring 51 business cards.
Chambers of Commerce close for New Year’s
The Copperas Cove, Harker Heights and Greater Killeen chambers of commerce will be closed Wednesday for the holiday. They will reopen Thursday.

Ribbon-cutting for rehab in Cove set for Jan. 7
Copperas Cove will conduct a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Integrity Rehab’s newest operation in the city from noon to 12:30 p.m. Jan. 7 at 175 W. U.S. Highway 190, Suite 2, Copperas Cove.
