Business Resource Center schedules free seminar on home-based businesses

The Central Texas Business Resource Center will conduct a free seminar from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at 300 Cheyenne, Killeen.

Business consultant Bryan Thym will present the seminar, which will answer 15 critical questions people should ask themselves before starting home-based businesses.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony for Integrity Rehab’s newest operation in the city is scheduled from noon to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at 175 W. U.S. Highway 190, Suite 2, Copperas Cove.

Killeen chamber’s builder academy opens with social media seminar

The Greater Killeen Chamber of Commerce is offering a new program, the Business Builder Academy, which provides training and information for new and existing small businesses.

The first class, Social Media 101 presented by Main Street Hub, will show business owners how to get customers from sites like Facebook, Google and Yelp.

The class is from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the chamber offices at 1 Santa Fe Plaza in Killeen.

Classes are free for chamber Business Builder, Leadership and Killeen 2.0 Investors, and open to the public for $50.

Lunch will be provided.
