Local eco-friendly spa welcomes new skin care specialist

Ecoblu Spa and Salon recently hired Megan Krantz to provide skin care treatments to its clients.

Krantz has been a cosmetologist for four years and is passionate about skin care. She is also a waxing specialist.

Ecoblu is now accepting appointments with Krantz at 254-699-0019.

TV station and magazine recognize nutrition store

TKO Nutrition and Smoothies, 1001 W. Veterans Memorial Blvd., suite 101A, recently received recognition for having the “best smoothie” from KVUE TV and a runner-up for “best trainer” from Austin Fit Magazine.

TKO Nutrition and Smoothies also has locations in Austin, Round Rock and Pflugerville.

Copperas Cove floral and gift shop has new owner

Michele’s Floral and Gifts, 821 E. Business U.S. Highway 190 in Copperas Cove, is now owned by Kathryn Villarreal.

The shop has been serving local customers since 1989.

New Haitian restaurant offers native cuisine

Gou Lakay Restaurant, 810 N. W.S. Young Drive, suite 102, in Killeen, had its grand opening Jan. 6 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony by the Greater Killeen Chamber of Commerce.

This is the first Haitian restaurant in Central Texas.
