Ribbon-cutting set for The Hair Lounge

The public is invited to a grand opening celebration and ribbon-cutting for The Hair Lounge, 2408 Clear Creek Road, suite 104, Killeen, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the salon.

Temple College adds more courses

The Temple College Division of Business and Continuing Education is offering new courses this fall to help people obtain more career skills.

Introduction to Blueprint Reading, American Sign Language for the Workplace, Introduction to Data Networks and a course in dietary management are a few of the more than 30 classes being offered.

Other courses are in the areas of health professions, business and marketing, computer applications, information technology, accounting and finance, human resources and leadership, and communication and language.

All classes are in Berry Hall on the main Temple College campus.

Cove furniture stores celebrates 67 years

Ledger Furniture, 104 E. Avenue D, Copperas Cove, is celebrating 67 years in business as a family store, which was started in 1950 by Lovett Ledger. It was sold 10 years ago to Stephen Branch.

Nutrition store supports Fort Hood troops

TKO Nutrition and Smoothies, 1001 W. Veterans Memorial Blvd., suite 101A, recently shipped a care package to soldiers deployed overseas to Kandahar Airfield.

The shipment included handwritten letters, nutritional products from their store and personal care items.

Travel agency donates fees for school supplies

Journeys Travel Associates, 600 N. Main St., Salado, recently announced a charity partnership with Sandals Barbados to benefit Milton Lynch & Assessment Christ Church Primary Schools.

A $19.95 service fee on any travel booking will be used to purchase school supplies and sports equipment for those schools.
