COPPERAS COVE — The Narrows Business and Technology Park is more than 50 percent complete even after an unexpected $22,000 change order to the Copperas Cove Economic Development Corporation project.

The change order removed another foot of soil from the future Charles Tillman Way, that will cut through the park. The unplanned work brings the cost of developing the land to $1.58 million.

“This will increase the bill,” said Polo Enriquez, the corporation’s executive director. But it won’t be delaying the project.

While the project is not yet 50 percent billed, the development is more than half finished, said project engineer Otto Wiederhold with Walker Partners.
