Frisco-based Hurts Donuts will set up shop in Killeen Friday selling donuts out of their food truck, known as the “Whambulance.”

Killeen residents calls to “9-yum-yum” were heard all the way in Frisco, and a truck loaded down with Hurts Donuts and other sweet treats will come to Killeen Friday.

Although the North Texas branch of the Hurts Donuts chain usually stays within a 100-mile radius of their flagship store in Frisco, local residents won a Facebook pole by a landslide with 302 of 412 votes to bring the “Donut Emergency Vehicle” to the Killeen-Fort Hood area, said General Manager Nikki Selby.
