Killeen issued single-family home permits worth more than $1 million between Dec. 20 and Thursday.

Eight permits were issued to contractors for the construction of new single-family homes in the city, according to a Killeen report. The homes ranged in value from $60,000 to $200,000.

Contractors starting the work included Fort Hood Habitat for Humanity, Austin-based Saratoga, Harker Heights-based All Star Homes and Harker Heights-based Jubilee Homes.

The homes are being built on Terrace Drive, Vega Lane, Orion Drive, Gemini Lane, Great Divide Road, Siltstone Loop and Libra Drive.

Killeen also issued a permit for the construction of a duplex on Lineage Loop to Killeen-based Purser Homes, the report stated. The multifamily dwelling was valued at $159,000.

Carothers Executive Homes received each permit to build homes costing between $239,000 and $309,000.

The homes are being constructed on Bald Eagle Drive and Chimney Hill Drive.

Copperas Cove didn’t issue any residential construction permits, but it did issue a commercial remodel permit to E.M Payne for a property at 105 E. Avenue E.

The renovation cost of the facility was estimated at $38,700, a reported from the city stated.

Killeen and Nolanville did not issue any commercial building permits.
