Last week, builders started 19 single-family residences worth $3.6 million.

Killeen granted the most single-family home construction permits — 15 — according to a city report.

Harker Heights-based Carothers Homes and Fort Worth-based DR Horton accounted for nine of the permits. Multiple homes are being built on Deerwood Lane, Adeel Drive and Joyce Lane.

The Killeen homes being constructed range in price from $86,000 to $366,000.

Copperas Cove issued two new-home construction permits to Killeen-based Precision Value Homes, according to a report from the city.

The homes, which range in price from $112,000 to $179,000, are on Plateau Street and Settlement Road.

Nolanville and Harker Heights issued one permit to contractors for residences.

Bloomfield, Mich.-based Centex Homes is building a $220,000 home on Green Meadow Drive in Harker Heights.

Kempner-based Dan Battreal Builders is building a $300,000 home on Bella Charca Parkway in Nolanville.
