The Texas Real Estate Commission confirmed more counts against a Copperas Cove real estate broker and real estate agent who will go before the State Office of Administrative Hearings later this month.

Gilbert Quinones and Susan Quinones will share an April 29 hearing, said Christine Anderson, public affairs specialist with the commission. Gilbert Quinones is a former real estate broker and Susan Quinones is a former real estate agent for the formerly named Remax Platinum in Copperas Cove. Another Remax agent said Remax withdrew the franchise from the Quinoneses.

The commission filed several allegations stating the Quinoneses violated numerous Texas occupations codes while serving as property managers, according to hearing dockets. The documents allege the couple failed to pay property owners in a timely manner and respond to the commission’s requests.

“For Gilbert, we have 21 cases and 16 are open; and for those 16, final orders have been issued or are pending,” Anderson said. “For Susan, there are 19 cases and 14 are open, and final orders have been issued or pending.”

The docket, however, only showed four counts against Gilbert Quinones with multiple allegations.

On Friday, the commission also filed a request that a state hearings judge order the couple to provide information and documents about the case.

The Quinoneses did not respond to the commission’s first request for such material in March, stated court documents. Attempts made by the commission to contact the couple were unsuccessful.

Previous calls to the Quinoneses from the Herald were not returned.
