The Copperas Cove Police Department is looking for anyone who may have been victimized by an alleged scam involving Platinum Real Estate in Copperas Cove.

According to a news release, the department identified 42 people who said they signed contracts that listed Platinum Real Estate as their property managers.

However, the property owners never received security deposits and other monies owed to them by the company for their rental properties, stated Sgt. Martin Ruiz, police department spokesman.

Some individuals were also not paid for work completed on rental properties.

The Copperas Cove Police Department said several other victims have not yet come forward or have had difficulties receiving money they are owed from the company.

To aid in the investigation, the department asks that victims of this offense call Detective Rick Counter at 254-547-8222 ext. 6894.
