First Time Home Buyer seminar planned for Saturday

The city of Killeen’s Community Development Division – HOME Program, along with Rose Scott with Exit Home Vets Realty and Kawanda Polk with The Nationals Banks of Central Texas, will offer a free First Time Home Buyer seminar from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Killeen Arts & Activities Center in the Community Development Training Room, 802 N. Second St.

Attendees will learn the pros and cons of homeownership, budgeting, goal setting, credit ratings, pre-approval and how to choose a mortgage lender and real estate agent, home inspections and warranties, making an offer on a home, the closing process and the responsibilities of homeownership.

Reservations are accepted through 5 p.m. Friday. To reserve a space, call the Community Development Division at 501-7842.

Translators for Korean and Spanish are available with 72 hours of notice.
