Few new homes and commercial construction projects began in the first week of February.

Neither Nolanville nor Harker Heights issued construction permits for commercial buildings or residences between Feb. 1 and Friday.

Killeen issued permits for four single-family residential sites, one new commercial building, one build-out and three commercial remodeling between Jan. 31 and Thursday, according to a city report.

Single-family home construction permits were issued to Precision Value Homes, Stylecraft Builders of Central Texas and Vale Building Group.

The homes, which range in price from $110,000 to $135,000, are being built on Hector Drive, Louise Lane and Andalucia Lane.

A build-out permit for constructing the interior of a shell building was issued to Interstate Commercial Construction Company for a 3,200-square-foot space at 2202 S. W.S. Young Drive, Suite 102. The construction project is estimated at $195,000.

Habitat for Humanity is erecting an accessory building on its Atkinson Avenue property, according to Killeen’s permit report. The building is going to be about 800 square feet and has an estimated cost of $2,900.

Nytex Construction and CME received commercial remodeling permits for work to be done on buildings on East Avenue D and North Gray Street. The projects’ costs were estimated at $163,000.

Copperas Cove issued two new single-family home construction permits to Jim Wright Company and Manning Homes.

Jim Wright Company will build a $132,000 home on Blue Skies Circle, and Manning Homes will construct a $175,000 home on Jonathan Lane.
