Robert W. “Bobby” Hoxworth, president and chief lending officer of First National Bank Texas in Killeen, was elected to the board of directors of the Texas Bankers Association. He will serve a three-year term.

Hoxworth started his 31-year banking career in 1981 at First National Bank Texas, and held numerous positions before accepting his current position in 2008.

Hoxworth serves on the board of the Texas A&M University-Central Texas Foundation and chairman of the Friends of Texas A&M-Central Texas. He also serves as chair-elect of the board of directors of the Central, Coastal, Southwest Texas and Permian Basin Better Business Bureau and is president of the Central Texas-Fort Hood Chapter of the Association of the United States Army.

In 2013, Hoxworth was honored by the Killeen Independent School District as a distinguished alumnus.

He is a trustee at Praise Temple Assembly of God and has been married to his wife, Pat, for 28 years.
