With several competitors in the area, from Waco Regional airport to Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, Killeen travelers have options.

I've flown out of a lot of small-to-medium airports. Killeen is top-notch in many ways. Perhaps the best thing about it is that it's very small and not crowded (I know the money-makers hate to hear it, but... some of us hate airports because they're crowded.)

My wife and I have received great customer service from everyone at the airport, including the (surprise!) TSA agents, as have our friends and family who've flown in and out of it.

But... we just don't fly that often. It's not that we're flying out of other airports; it's just that flying is expensive no matter where you leave from.

If the Chambers push for immigrations reform is successful, the airport will be swamped with new flyers.

When they started lobbying for the Copperas Cove International Airport and tire center a lot us said no way it’s going to be cost effective.

what draws passengers to local airports are PRICES. I should be able to leave Killeen for a far better price than Dallas. That's rarely the case.

Not to mention the horrible customer service my wife and I received at the hands of Delta the last time we tried to fly. We ended up cancelling that trip because of the "service agent" in Killeen.
