Killeen issued nine permits for $1.3 million worth of new single-family homes last week.
Local company Barnes Homebuilders is building three new homes on Screaming Eagle Circle, and Bell County Victory Homes Inc. is building two homes on Briscoe Drive. Precision Value Homes, Ashford Homes and Casa Bonita Ltd. are building one home each on Tara, Uvero Alto and Reese Creek drives. Carothers Homes Inc. received a pair of $233,714 permits for new duplexes on Developer Court.
Killeen awarded Stefek and Sears Builders LLC a $178,250 permit for “finish-out” work on Central Plaza. The company is finishing the interior — walls, carpet, and office — for Central Texas Pain Clinic, which will open at 3202 S. W.S. Young Drive.
Owner Robert Stefek said his workers were about 60 days from completing the project, which covers between 10,000 and 13,000 square feet.
“The shell was already there,” Stefek said. “We’re finishing out what’s needed.”
Shoe Show Inc. also received a $387,220 commercial remodeling permit at the Killeen Mall.
Copperas Cove saw $445,000 worth of permits in new single-family homes, and $144,000 in tear-off and reroofing permits.
Stylecraft Builders is building three homes in Copperas Cove, two on Jester Court and one on Neff Drive.
Harker Heights issued more than $975,000 in permits, including a $350,000 new commercial “finish-out” permit at Harker Heights Kidney Center, 625 W. Central Texas Expressway.
Nolanville received four permits for new single-family homes. Vale Building Group is building two $200,000 homes: a 3,600-square-foot home in Wildwood Estates and a 4,000-square-foot home in Bella Charca.
Jubilee Homes will build two $100,000 homes in Cedar Heights Estates, one at 2,237 square feet and the other at 2,150 square feet.
