Killeen issued permits for 10 single-family homes for $1.3 million in new residential construction projects between May 16 and Thursday.

Bloomfield, Mich.-based Centex Homes is constructing four homes on Sandyford Court, and College Station-based Stylecraft Builders Central Texas is building three new homes on Castleton and Rusack drives, according to a Killeen permit report. Miami-based Lennar, Atlanta-based Ashton and Killeen-based Shanondoah Homes are constructing the remaining three homes on Joyce, Loma Gaile and Sands lanes.

The homes range from $87,000 to $182,000 in estimated construction cost, the report stated.

Commercial permits

Killeen also issued several commercial building permits.

Two finish-out permits, which allow for the construction of the interior of a prebuilt structure, were issued on a property at 1103 W. Veterans Memorial Blvd., to Global Investment and Killeen-based JE Williams Cad SVS. The total estimated cost of the two projects is $12,000.

Killeen also granted two remodel permits for commercial properties at 212 E. Elms Road and 209 E. Dean Ave. The contractors, Fredericksburg-based Global One Communications Co. and Pacifica Investment Inc., estimated the construction projects at $38,450. Reports on Copperas Cove, Harker Heights and Nolanville construction permits were not available Monday because of the Memorial Day holiday.
