Killeen offering homebuyer class

The city of Killeen’s Community Development Division – Home Program, along with Alice Hardy of Realty Executives, and Kawanda Polk of The National Banks of Central Texas, will conduct a free First Time Home Buyer seminar from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Community Development Training Room at the Killeen Arts and Activities Center, 802 N. Second St., building E, first floor, next door to Head Start.

Participants will learn how to choose a mortgage and real estate agent, the pros and cons of homeownership, and about budgeting, goal setting, credit ratings, pre-approval, home inspections and warranties, the closing process and the responsibilities of homeownership.

Reservations will be accepted through 5 p.m. Thursday.

Translators for Korean and Spanish languages are available with 72 hours of notice.
