Total sales tax allocations issued from the state comptroller’s office increased in January compared to this time last year; however, the majority of larger Central Texas cities experienced declines.
State sales tax revenue reported in December was $2.25 billion, up 3.9 percent compared to December 2012, said Comptroller Susan Combs.
