Killeen and Harker Heights issued $1.4 million in new residential construction projects between May 9 and Friday.

Killeen granted seven permits for new homes.

Bloomfield, Mich.-based Centex/Pulte Homes Inc. received two permits, one on Claymore Street and the other on Sandyford Court. Killeen-based home builders Purser Homes, Ashford Homes, Barnes Homebuilders and Precision Value Homes, and College Station-based Stylecraft Builders Central also received permits.

The contractors estimated home values between $100,000 and $179,000. The seven projects together were valued about $1 million.

Harker Heights permitted the construction of two duplexes on Tru Circle to Killeen-based Rocky Creek Investments for $176,000 each.

Nolanville and Copperas Cove issued no permits for new commercial or residential construction last week. Killeen and Harker Heights didn’t experience any new commercial projects either.
