More office space is coming to Stan Schlueter Loop in Killeen.

The city issued a building permit to Austin-based Burt Watts Industries on Nov. 5 for construction of a $1.3 million facility at 2701 E. Stan Schlueter Loop.

While the construction manager at Burt Watts was not available Monday, the Killeen permit report said the space would be about 6,500 square feet.

The city also issued a permit for a new commercial accessory building for a 3,450-square-foot facility at 1310 W. Stan Schlueter Loop to Temple-based Central Texas Pump Inc. The estimated cost was $51,100, city reports stated.

Harker Heights and Copperas Cove didn’t issue any commercial construction permits between Nov. 1 and Nov. 7.

Copperas Cove issued two permits for home construction in the 3400 block of Horizon, according to a city report. Construction costs for those homes are between $114,000 and $125,000.

Single-family home contractors received 11 permits in Killeen, valued between $113,000 and $153,000. The city issued Killeen-based Ashford Homes eight permits for construction on Tara Drive. A ninth permit was issued to Belton-based Bell County Victory Homes Inc. for construction on Tara Drive. College Station-based Stylecraft Builders of Central Texas also received two construction permits for homes on Greyfriar Drive.
