LAMPASAS — Wayne Carroll was named physical therapy manager for Rehabilitation Services at Rollins Brook Community Hospital.
Originally from Izoro, Carroll received a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and has practiced physical therapy for 35 years.
“My vision for Rehabilitation Services at (Rollins Brook) is to provide the local community access to the same high quality physical therapy services afforded to people in larger communities,” Carroll said.
He spent more than 30 years treating sports-related injuries among athletes ranging from high school to professional level. Five of those years were spent with the former Houston Oilers, now Tennessee Titans. He provides on-field physical therapy services for the Richland Springs and Goldthwaite high school football teams.
The physical therapy staff at the hospital provide services to those recovering from surgery, sports-related injuries, general weakness, joint replacement, back and neck pain, and shoulder and ankle injuries.
