State law changed this year’s annual sales tax holiday to Aug. 9-11, a week earlier than previously scheduled.

The sales tax holiday gives shoppers a break from state and local sales taxes on most clothing, footwear, school supplies and backpacks priced under $100. Shoppers can save up to $8.25 for every $100 they spend.
