The Texas Bankers Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Texas Bankers Association, presented a Leaders in Financial Education Individual Recognition Award to Ronald Taylor, senior vice president at Fort Hood National Bank and an Army veteran, for his dedication to financial education among soldiers.

The award honors Texas bankers who are dedicated leaders in promoting financial education in their communities.

Taylor accepted the award Friday at the Texas Bankers Association’s 129th annual convention in San Antonio.

Taylor helps give soldiers and their families the knowledge and tools they need to make good financial decisions, according to a news release.

Taylor works with soldiers before deployment to ensure they have a financially secure future. He affects the lives of thousands of soldiers each year through the five financial literacy programs offered by Fort Hood National Bank, the release stated.
