Texas gasoline prices hover at $3.43 average

Prices at Texas gas stations stayed about the same Monday when compared to the previous week.

The average price of regular gasoline on Monday was $3.434 compared to May 19’s $3.435 per gallon, according to GasBuddy.com, a website that tracks prices at more than 13,000 stations in Texas.

The price of fuel was down about 4 cents from a month ago but increased by about

5 cents from a year ago, the website stated.

Locally, prices ranged from $3.37 to $3.45 per gallon, according to GasBuddy.com. The lower end figure was about a 2-cent increase from May 19.

AAA’s website reported gas prices ranging from $3.35 to $3.44 per gallon in the area on Monday.

The average regular gasoline price in Texas was 20.2 cents cheaper than the national average price of $3.636, according to GasBuddy.com.
