Almost Paradise: A Performance of Contemporary American Poetry

A fully staged solo performance of "pop twist" poetry, featuring Frankenstein, Adam & Eve, Hamlet, Disney, Elvis and many others. 

Dan Heaton (Ph.D., LSU) is a professor of Communication and Theatre Studies who directs plays & teaches courses in Storytelling, Alternative & Experimental Theatre, Group Performance, and Performance of Literature. Over the last 30 years he has performed at many national & regional performance festivals and conferences, for which he received the Leslie Irene Coger Award for Distinguished Performance.

Performance will be February 12 at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $10 and are available at www.templecivictheatre.org

This is a fundraiser for Temple Civic Theatre.
