Diabetes is one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality in United States. While

The disease transcends all racial and ethnic boundaries; it has a high prevalence among

Minority population, especially African Americans. Research has demonstrated that

Diabetes can be prevented through education, exercise, and good nutrition habits.

 

The event will feature a two and half (2 ½) mile walk beginning promptly at 08:00 am

(Registration begins at 07:00am. In addition, this annual event will provided a variety of

Information with instructional, health screenings, healthy snacks, and

Giveaway- all with the express intent of bringing individuals in our community together

To educate themselves on living a healthier and active life.
