In addition to the 80-100 exhibitors presenting products designed to help consumers and homeowners reduce their environmental impact and sustainability-themed panel discussions, this year’s event will feature an introductory day specifically for students. Friday Sept. 26, is Education Day where all students 18 and under are admitted for FREE. Lectures will be an educational experience for public, private and home-schooled students and each student will participate in a scavenger hunt designed to offer a challenging way for them to attain more information on several different topics. Middle and high school classes are encouraged to attend. This is also a great place for college students to meet representatives from companies on the cutting edge of green technology.
The Roundup will also be part of National Plug-In Day, a promotional event to raise awareness of electric vehicles and their benefits. There will be several electric cars on display.
The Roundup is co-organized by Texas Renewable Energy Industries Association (TREIA) and Texas Center for Policy Studies (TCPS)
