Salado Glassworks opens reservations for
“Blow Your Own” Father’s Day Event
This annual event is only available Fridays and Saturdays; reservations are required to
participate and craft your own glass mug, sipper, or tumbler.
SALADO, TEXAS May 14, 2018 -- Raise a cool toast to your favorite patriarch this year with a
new way to celebrate Father’s Day: Salado Glassworks provides both lasting memories and
functional art with this chance to help create your own custom glass blown mug, sipper, or
tumbler.
Reservations are now open at the Salado Glassworks website -- www.saladoglassworks.com --
where you can purchase a “Blow Your Own” Father’s Day experience for kids [ages 12 and up],
adults or whole families.
Reservations cost $70-80 per person. Participants ages 12 years old and older can actually
participate first hand in blowing their own glass mug, sipper, or tumbler. Participants ages 3-11
years old may choose color only and assist in blowing.
How does it work?
With the help of Salado Glassworks' professional artists, participants choose up to three colors,
take the rod and pick up the color, and reheat the piece in the oven. For each glass, you have
the opportunity to use your own breath to blow out the piece. Tools are used to shape your
piece, and you may assist the artists in this part of the process.
