Fort Hood

Killeen, TX

Vista College, Killeen is hosting an Open House on April 5, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., for its new 2,500-sq.-ft. Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC) technical training facility, showcasing Vista’s newest diploma program, now enrolling for an April 21 start date.   The facility, now complete, is part of the college’s 17,486-sq.-ft. expansion project begun in 2013.  Since opening in January 2013, the initial campus has doubled in size to 32,591 sq. ft., broadening the community’s higher education opportunities with a diverse catalog of diploma and degree programs.

“We encourage anyone interested in exploring a new career to drop by the Open House and take a look at this exciting new addition to the Vista College campus,” said James Campbell, Vista College Campus Director. “HVAC is one of the nation’s fastest growing occupations with longevity, and it is protected from outsourcing in today’s uncertain economy.   The skills you will acquire in this new diploma program will always be in demand.”

This new HVAC Diploma program can be completed in as little as one year with successful, full-time enrollment. The program provides both academic and practical experience in basic refrigeration, electricity and magnetism, brazing, soldering, piping, sheet metal fabrication, air conditioning, heating, commercial applications and more.  Graduates are trained for entry-level positions installing air conditioners, servicing equipment, providing maintenance services and much more.

“Individuals looking for a new career path can finish the program quickly, allowing them to begin a rewarding profession as a HVAC technician,” said James Campbell, Vista College Campus Director.  “We have seen an increased demand for this type of service in the area as well as at some of Vista’s other campuses, and we are excited to bring this program to Killeen.

Vista College offers a wide variety of career training programs throughout Texas, New Mexico and online.  Each career program is staffed with industry experts and leading professionals, ensuring students an affordable, quality education that will help them pursue successful careers in their chosen fields.  Financial aid is available to those that qualify.  Graduates may also benefit from Vista’s career services assistance, including resume preparation and interview coaching.

Those interested in a new and exciting career path in the HVAC industry should contact Vista College in Killeen at 254-432-5680.  Classes begin on April 21.
