Tired of winter already?  Enjoy some sunny fun at the Railroad & Heritage Museum this Saturday! come on out to our “Beat the Winter Blues” Family Day this Saturday at the Railroad & Heritage Museum and celebrate the return of the sun.  Volcano punch, leis, and sunny scenery and crafts are just a few of the things planned for this coming Family Day.

Family Day is a free event and open to the public on Saturday, January 4, 2014 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at the Temple Railroad & Heritage Museum.  The museum is located in the Santa Fe Depot at 315 West Avenue B in downtown Temple. A free family day event is held on the first Saturday of each month.

“Everyone has heard of ‘Christmas in July’ so we’ve decided what better way to wrap up the hectic holiday season than celebrating summer in January!   And don’t forget to wear your Hawaiian shirt –  there will be a contest for the best one” said Angela McCleaf, Museum Curator.
