CCHS evacuated due to bomb threat

The Copperas Cove High School is being evacuated following a written bomb threat on a bathroom wall reported moments ago, a Copperas Cove Independent spokesperson said at 11:15 a.m.

Students are being released for the day at 11:30 a.m. at the back student parking lot.

Parents/guardians who need to pick up their child must do so at the back student parking lot, and must show identification.

Students who drive or walk will be permitted to leave.

Bus riders will depart at 11:45 a.m.

Public input sought on special education services

Representatives from the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services and the Texas Education Agency will conduct a series of listening sessions in Texas during the week of Dec. 12, according to a news release from the Department of Education.
