Juvenile prosecutor Jeanne Parker announced she will be a Republican candidate for judge of County Court-at-Law No. 1.
Ms. Parker, 53, has been an attorney since 1993 has worked in the county attorney's office for the past six years.
For the past three years, Ms. Parker has been the county's chief juvenile prosecutor.
In her run for judge she plans to challenge Democratic incumbent Ed Johnson, who was first elected in 1986.
