The Coryell County Sheriff's Office has identified and issued warrants for two individuals they believe to be involved in recent burglaries in the county.

Dena DeWeese, 19, and Derek Patterson, 21, were identified.

According to a press release from Sheriff Johnny Burks, one of the burglaries occurred in January on Farm-to-Market Road 929 and the March burglary occurred on Wood Glen Street, in a subdivision off Highway 116 known as Hines Ranches.

Several firearms, tools and electronics equipment were taken during both burglaries, but some of the property has been recovered and returned.

"The recovered property had a replacement value of approximately $10,000. Some of the property was recovered in pawn shops stretching from Gatesville to Fort Worth, while the remainder of the recovered property was recovered at a residence in Gatesville," the Sheriff's Office said in a release.

DeWeese had been living in the Hines Ranch Estates and Patterson was living in Cleburne.

Both have been charged with burglary of a habitation, a second degree felony. Second degree felonies carry a sentence of two to 20 years in prison with a possible fine of up to $10,000.

County law enforcement officials believe Patterson fled the state to avoid arrest and DeWeese is still in the county.
