For more than 50 years, the Town Oaks RV Village in Copperas Cove has been meeting the needs of travelers and visitors to the city for a short visit or an extended stay.

The RV village offers 22 30-by-

70 foot slots for guests to park their RVs, Class A motor homes, fifth-wheels and campers.

Bill Bennett, onsite manager of the village, said a lot of repeat guests come back to the park when in Copperas Cove because of the peaceful environment, convenience, location and cleanliness.

More recently the park was full because of Rabbit Fest.

"Rabbit Fest filled me up," Bennett said. "A lot of the vendors stay here and after it's over pack up and go to the next place."

The 10-acre park offers patrons a mile-long walking path, onsite management and maintenance, yard services, full hook-ups to 30/50 power amps, water, sewer, garbage and cable and satellite hookups are available, but guests need to have it installed.

Guests can stay at the village through their monthly, weekly and overnight rates.

Although the pet-friendly village does not offer onsite laundry, restroom and shower facilities, Bennett said the site's location and customer satisfaction with service keeps guests returning to the park.

Town Oaks RV Village was established in 1956 and is owned by Lorraine Donaldson of Houston.
