The Copperas Cove Chamber of Commerce ambassadors chose Lil’ Tex Restaurant as the August Business of the Month.
The restaurant will have the opportunity to display the business of the month banner at its location until the September business of the month is chosen and also was given a free lunch for up to 10 of their employees at Chick-fil-A Copperas Cove.
“First of all, they are great at welcoming any and all civic clubs to come meet in their big meeting room,” said David Morris, Chamber ambassador from the Cove Leader Press newspaper. “They go above and beyond and have been big supporters of the community, so why not honor one of our best here, as a family restaurant, as the business of the month?”
Employees of the restaurant were surprised by the honor, saying they felt they were just doing their jobs.
“I am so proud our business was able to make this achievement,” Lil’ Tex manager Jackie Ossler said. “We work very hard and I couldn’t do it without my staff or my loyal customers.”
