A small ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Wednesday at the Copperas Cove Chamber of Commerce to commemorate the grand opening of Taylor Photography.

“We’ve been in business for about two years, but this year I just started actively promoting it,” said Azeita Taylor. “I finished a college degree in homeland security and emergency management last year so it was kind of put on the back burner for school.”

Taylor said her love of photography came from her years as a reporter and photojournalist. Although she no longer works for a newspaper, she still seeks to capture those memorable shots for her clients.

During the ceremony, not only was Taylor’s business highlighted, but also Caked, a local cakes and cupcake shop that served tasty treats for guests.

“I do a lot of networking in the community so whether it’s personal or professional I always like to bring in local businesses,” Taylor said. “As a small business, there isn’t a lot of revenue coming in for marketing and advertisement so by bringing them alongside that’s a perfect opportunity to help out.”
