City building officials issued 60 new permits in the week of July 17-21 worth a total value of $490,929.

Three of the issued permits were for the construction of new single-family residences worth a total value of $379,206.

Contractor Silverado Homes will build all three of the new houses.

The city has issued permits worth a total value of $20.71 million so far this year.

Killeen

City building officials in Killeen issued 110 permits last week worth a total value of $3.31 million.

Twenty-one permits were issued last week for the construction of new single-family residences worth a total value of $3.04 million.

Contractor D.R. Horton will build six of the new houses; Stylecraft Builders and All Star Homes will each construct four of the new homes; Tippit Homes will build three new houses; and Carothers Homes, Centex Pulte Homes and Precision Value Homes will construct one home each.

The city has issued permits worth a total value of $91.27 million so far this year.

Housing market trends

The Fort Hood Area Association of Realtors released its snapshot of the June housing market trends for Cove, Kempner, Lampasas and Gatesville.

Cove saw a more than 30 percent jump in monthly home sales prices from June 2016, with home sales averaging $135,700.
