The Copperas Cove Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors named Domino’s the February Business of the Month.
The Business of the Month is chosen by the chamber ambassadors based on community involvement and chamber participation, said Betty Price, chamber president.
“Domino’s is a great chamber member and community supporter. They are always eager to help the chamber in making Cove a great place for family and business,” she said.
The choice for February was an easy one, said Nicole Vess, chamber ambassador from The National Banks of Central Texas, Copperas Cove branch.
“They are doing so much for the community; they definitely had my vote,” Vess said. “They hold the soldier appreciation in April, allowing families to come in and make their own pizza. They support the chamber in many ways, such as volunteering with Hood Howdy, providing lunch to various groups and entities in town, and they gave a pizza demonstration at the library for the kids.”
The restaurant also participated in fire prevention month with the Copperas Cove Fire Department, where they provided free pizza to customers if their smoke alarms worked, Vess added.
“When I found out, I was ecstatic. One thing I focus on is taking care of the community, and to see that get recognized was a shock,” said Brandon Hennessee, Domino’s manager. “Our motto is ‘We put people first.’ We believe Domino’s is a part of the community, so we just try to get out and help.
“We like working with the library, our soldiers, the police, the fire department — it feels good to give back to people who give so much.”
Domino’s is at 2127 E. Business 190.
